A collection of utilities to be run from MSDOS that gets information on files.

Varset is a light utility to be run in MSDOS (and also from the Windows command line) whose syntax, for example, to get the date is the following: call var set FD=date of nombrefichero.txt

From Varset you can get varied information on files depending on parameters: time and date, directory where it is stored, total number of files in a directory, size of each one, number of lines each file contains, the drive name, extension, complete filepath name, etc.

From Varset you can also get a text subchain from the original chain given to you (you just indicate the position and size of that subchain). Varset is totally free.
